Here's a little about me, along with some of my qualifications and registrations and how I work.
I am a fully qualified therapist and a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
I have worked in the ‘helping professions’ throughout my career. I completed my therapeutic training at Metanoia Institute London, one of the leading therapy training providers in the UK and Europe. I am a person centred therapist and firmly believe in a relational approach to counselling and psychotherapy.
I offer a professional, down to earth relationship to support you to explore and understand more about what has brought you to therapy. Our time together will involve us exploring your emotions and experiences which can feel daunting and at times can involve humour and laughter. I also believe the cultural and social context in which we were born, raised and now live inevitably impacts our wellbeing and this may also be important for us to explore together too.
In addition to my private practice, I hold part time positions as a teaching fellow at a University outside of Merseyside and I also work as a Counsellor to NHS staff in Greater Manchester.
